Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is a medical condition in which a person has a strong urge to move. It can cause various sensations in the body such as itching, creeping, crawling, pulling, burning, and throbbing. - Discomfort in lying down- A person feels getting out of bed frequently, moving arms, and legs help to get some relief from the uneasiness.
- Behavior and work-related problems- Some of the symptoms also affect work-related tasks such as irritability, sleepiness during daytime, problem concentrating, and hyperactivity.
Treatment of RLS
Some of the treatment options of RLS are elaborated as follows:
- Getting some exercise such as riding a bike, jogging, and running.
- Maintaining sleep habits such as avoiding reading and watching TV.
- Avoid caffeine, chocolates, tea, colas, and other aerated drinks.
- Take iron and magnesium supplements.
- Try yoga, stretching, and soft music.
